With therapy when we talk in the presence of a calm and connected listener, we can explore issues that trouble us, we can feel uncomfortable or frightening emotions more easily, we can process stressful issues and gain more clarity into the real issues, we can recognize patterns that show up in our lives, we can make meaning out of experiences we have had, and from all this develop strategies and choices for ourselves.
In addition to offering talk therapy, I make use of alternative tools that support the nervous (somatic) system and help dissolve or heal painful connections or memory networks that have been developed as a result of difficult life experiences.
I have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, and have an understanding of the human psyche and have learned many skills to assist. I am a perceptive listener, and aim to listen deeply and to actively collaborate with you to navigate your challenges.
